Barn Owl Project
Support for the Barn Owl project has been overwhelming from ABS Members Photo: Antonio Pestana

It has been satisfying to receive member’s opinions on our work to support conservation projects in our region. All positive and pleasing to know members feel involved with our efforts. Without you the important work of ABS would not be possible. Make sure to visit our conservation page here on our website.

We have received so many endorsements from members, and we love hearing from you. Here is the very latest from ABS Member Trevor Hextor.

‘Just got our magazine yesterday. As always, already read it from cover to cover. In it Peter asks if we have an opinion on supporting the Barn Owl hacking project in Cabra. Having been on the visit with Antonio Pestana at the weekend where he took the time to both show us the very roof where the hacking takes place and to explain what they are trying to achieve, we are both very supportive of the project. It’s great to meet another Spanish person who is making a difference in their area. We were lucky to also go on the August field trip and spent time with Álvaro from the O-live EA, also mentioned in the magazine and supported by the society and again we were impressed of the efforts his team are making and the support the society is giving. For us the idea that the society can help with local projects throughout the area is a great benefit of our membership above the obvious advantages of the field trips and an excellent magazine’.
