The Andalucía Bird Society. Love and appreciate nature? At last, you can join like-minded nature lovers by joining the regional bird society and enjoy amazing benefits for a real value for money membership. The Society run monthly field meetings across the region free to members and also keep folk up to date via social media and monthly newsletters. A quarterly full colour magazine is published for members and joining the Society also helps fund various regional conservation projects.

The hundreds of existing members represent a cross section of nationalities and all share a passion for nature. The main aims of the Society are twofold. It promotes the coming together of nature lovers here, as presented by social gatherings each month (sometimes twice a month), that provide members with guided tours throughout the region run by experts to assist beginners or the more experienced naturalist. By joining them you would also contribute to conservation and preservation projects throughout Andalucía, membership is so very important to funding projects and also offers opportunities for members to get directly involved with these exciting conservation initiatives.

For a great many members, joining ABS has had many benefits, not least the forging of long-lasting friendships with people who share common interests. The fact that the Society is founded on social meetings, as well as conservation, is attractive to many people. Another great benefit to membership is discovering some of the most attractive areas to visit for wildlife throughout the region. Many members have found this benefit especially useful for revisiting these areas on their own and enjoying these remarkable areas at their leisure.

ABS is the largest regional bird society here in Andalucía and is progressive with forwarding proposals for more membership benefits and also regional conservation. And it really does offer value for money to those joining. For as little as 25 euro for single membership to 30 euro for family membership, it represents a way you can afford to contribute to the increasing influence of a society dedicated not only to conservation, but also serving the interests of an increasing number of its members.

It is also important to point out, that the Society is run entirely by volunteers and all funds go towards operating expenses and conservation.
