I have often made appeals for members to let the Society have a few of their favourite photographs. We are always looking for those great shots to include in either the magazine or here on our website. We have had some notable contributors through the history of the Society and their generosity has been so much appreciated. We are of course a non-profit organisation, what surplus funds we have we use towards various conservation projects, so it is important we have members willing to help with letting us share their images.
Despite our more recent appeals for photographs, it is sad not to have had a response. There have been one or two exceptions with Ricky Owen, Antonio Pestana and Kevin Wade giving permission to use their work, whilst our latest ‘Birds of Andalucía’ features a classy front cover image from Clive Finlayson. It was therefore a delightful surprise to receive an email from ABS member Debra Coleman with 3 wonderful Kingfisher images attached. I hope you enjoy these photos as much I do and a very big thank you to Debra.
So please do help and think about sharing some of your prized images that we can use and share.
Peter Jones – President.
