Global Bird Weekend 13, 14 & 15 October
October Big Day – Saturday 14 October
We hope you are ready to take part!
Existing Teams who took part in Global Bird Weekend 2022 and Global Big Day 2023 are automatically registered to take part in this event.
Please email us to confirm you are taking part so we don’t remove you from our teams list!
If you need help registering, check our eBird Teams Information page or email us.
Remember, Global Bird Weekend is a 3 Day event so take part however you can.
Even if you spend just 30 minutes on Saturday listing birds near you to eBird, that’s great!
LEARN – Friday 13 October – Encourage groups and schools to learn about birds near them
COUNT – Saturday 14 October – Join in October Big Day and submit your bird lists to eBird
SHARE – Sunday 15 October – Share your knowledge, maybe introduce someone to birding
We are supporting BirdLife International again for this event, promoting their Global Flyways programme across the world. Learn more on their dedicated Global Bird Weekend page about how you can get involved and help protect the birds near you.
We aim to encourage as many people in as many places across the globe to see as many bird species as possible during the weekend, especially on October Big Day.
You can watch results for October Big Day on eBird’s dedicated page – make sure where you live is represented.
During the weekend, we love you to share your experiences, so tag us on social media
