Celebrating our birds and friendship

Member Christmas Lunch
Part of the group of members enjoying Christmas Lunch 2018

There are few things better than enjoying our birds and friendship together. And what better than members spending a morning birding and then socialising over a Christmas lunch? Last year provided a highlight to the birding year with great birds followed by our annual Christmas meal.

Bonelli's Eagle
Will we get to see a Bonelli’s Eagle?

It was such a success last year we are repeating the experience on 14th December. The day will start visiting a few local sites for winter and resident birds. We hope to see Bonelli’s Eagle, Black Wheatear, Blue Rock Thrush and some winter birds like Ring Ouzel, Alpine Accentor, Redwing, Siskin and Brambling. An action packed morning, starting with a relaxed coffee and/or breakfast at our meeting point. Day’s meeting details here.

Ring Ouzel
We hope to see a few Ring Ouzel on the morning meeting.

We hope to get back to our Christmas lunch by around 2 pm. The meal offers multiple choices and will cost 10.50 euro each including a wine, great value. For me this gives us time to chat and get to know each other in relaxed surroundings. A few of your Committee will be present, so if you have any queries or suggestions regarding the Society do mention them.

Let’s see if as many members as possible can attend, the more the merrier! Come and join us for the day see details here.
