Information about the activity:
This is a day for Volunteers who want to help cleaning St. Matthew’s Church and install nest boxes to help develop the existing Lesser Kestrel colony.
An activity with places limited to 14 persons, 10 from the organisers (Tumbabuey) and 4 more places are on offer to ABS volunteers wishing to participate.
The project is financed by Ubago, with the collaboration of Tumbabuey and the City Council of Tarifa Oficial.
Useful tools you can bring:
Battery drill, pliers, screwdriver etc for hanging wooden nest boxes on steel wires in the bell tower.
Dust pan and broom for sweeping clean the bell tower nesting area floor.
Metal scraper to remove dry bird excrement from wooden nest boxes.
Work clothes and a mask.
1. We will ask a member to write a trip report for our experiences of the day.
2. Members can invite guests, but they must join the Society on the day for insurance purposes.
3. We will ask members in attendance to drop a voluntary micro-contribution in a collection box to help support a nominated ABS conservation project.
