Leader of the day: Peter Jones

Information about the meeting:
We celebrate International Vulture Awareness Day by visiting a vulture feeding station within the area of the Serranía de Ronda. We are making arrangements for carcasses to be placed in the station’s confines a couple of days before and hope this will attract our local vultures down to feed, it could be an amazing experience for those not having witnessed this spectacle before. We will observe this from a respectable distance, as birds will not land if we are too close. Overhead views and sheer numbers, perhaps a range of species too, will be thrilling. Whilst we are making best preparations to make our morning a fruitful, birds will be birds and we cannot guarantee success.
