Information about the meeting:
Please do join us on a very special fun day for all members as we participate in the Global Bird Weekend, an event literally taking place throughout the world for birders and organised by the Patron of the Society Tim Appleton MBE. We will attempt to record as many species as we can during our day and if enough members attend we will divide into teams led by our guides. We will meet as teams over lunch and again at the Hotel La Cordorniz for an end of day count and comparing our individual team efforts. It promises to be a really fun day and we hope you will come along and support us.
We will be fundraising on the day to support Birdlife International’s campaign to preserve coastal wetlands and migratory birds. We have also setup a fundraising page if members would like to donate beforehand or for those unable to join us on the day, see here.
For members wishing to participate on 9th October, but unable to attend our field meeting, you can register your own team or individually by entering your details here.
For more information on the Global Birding Weekend visit their website here.
It is important to remember that:
- The group is restricted to a maximum of 50 participants, including the guides (3).
