Clothing and food
At this time of the year, it could be cool or warm so wrap up warm as you can always take extra clothing off. Drink and food will be available at the festival and there are several local ventas in the village.

Possible birds
At this time of the year there are plenty of birds around the area and many summer visitors will have arrived to compliment the local birds. Also, raptor migration will be continuing overhead. Birds we hope to see include Griffon Vulture, Golden Eagle, Bonelli’s Eagle, Short-toed and Booted Eagle, Peregrine, Sparrowhawk, Alpine, Pallid and Common Swift, Crag Martin, Melodious, Orphean, Subalpine and Bonelli’s Warbler, Mistle Thrush, Blue Rock Thrush, Northern, Black-eared and Black Wheatear, Thekla and Wood Lark, Rock Sparrow, Cirl and Rock Bunting plus many others.

Other sites in the area for those staying overnight.
This is an amazing part of Andalucía, and the area is full of sites for watching birds all along the Rio Guadiaro and surrounding mountains.

1. We will ask a member to write a trip report for our experiences of the day.

2. Members can invite guests, but they must join the Society on the day for insurance purposes.

3. We will ask members in attendance to drop a voluntary micro-contribution in a collection box to help support a nominated ABS conservation project.
