Information about the meeting.

This is our annual Christmas meeting and lunch
.  We will start at the visitor’s centre at Fuente de Piedra, from here we can explore the area around the centre looking for, at this time of the year, Crains, Stone curlew, Bluethroat and of course Flamingos.  After we will have lunch at the Venta with no name in the village. I call it this due to it having no large sign with its name on it. It is called bar Panyma where we shall have some lunch.  After lunch we can return to the Laguna to see what else there is to see.

Accommodation in the area.
Check out the ABS web site for accommodation in the area.  See ABS accommodation listing here

Clothing and Food.
It will be cold at this time of the year so wrap up warm, you can always take it off, but you can’t put it on if you don’t have it. Optional to attend our get together for a Christmas Lunch in the village – recommended.

Other sites in the area for those staying overnight.
There are some other lagunas in the area around Campillos but they may not be there due to the lack of water over the past few years.

1. We will ask a member to write a trip report for our experiences of the day.

2. Members can invite guests, but they must join the Society on the day for insurance purposes.

3. We will ask members in attendance to drop a voluntary micro-contribution in a collection box to help support a nominated ABS conservation project.

If you would like to help us in funding the many conservation projects we support please donate via this link here.
