Information about the meeting: Two of the best wetlands of La Mancha. We’ll visit Navaseca Lagoon in the morning. Picnic lunch in Tablas de Daimiel National Park. In the afternoon we’ll visit Tablas de Daimiel and other restricted areas of the National Park.
Accommodation in the area: Daimiel: Hostal Las Brujas (https://restaurantelasbrujas.es/hostal/), Hotel Doña Manuela (https://hoteldemanuela.com/), Hotel Las Tablas (https://www.hotellastablas.es/). Other option for lodging in Almagro, with a wide range of hotels and only 24 km. from Daimiel.
Clothing and food: Expect humid weather with a little chance of rain. Minimun Temperature 0º-5º C, Maximun Temperature 10º-15º C. Picnic lunch in Tablas de Daimiel National Park: tables, benches and roof.
Possible birds: Eared Grebe, Greater Flamingo, Spoonbill, Red-Crested Pochard, White-Headed Duck, Ferruginous Duck, Golden Eagle, Hen Harrier, Black-Shouldered Kite, Sparrowhawk, Merlin, Common Crane, Purple Swamphen, Water Rail, Pin-Tailed Sandgrouse, Little Owl, Hoopoe, Iberian Woodpecker, Water Pipit, Bluethroat, Dartford Warbler, Moustached Warbler, Bearded Tit, Iberian Shrike, Reed Bunting.
