Information about the meeting:
We will assemble in the El Barquero Restaurant at 09:00h sharp; please be on time because I want to be away from this location promptly to meet-up with our guide for the day at 09.30h. at the public birdwatching hide located on the edge of the Cabo Salinas where there is ample parking, (closeby to the Blanca Brisa Hotel). Here we will explore the salt flats for Waders, Gulls, Flamingos,Spoonbills including Audouin’s Terns and a Caspian if we are lucky. We may see a few Warblers and Wheatears along the way!
At around 13:00h we will head back to the El Barquero Restaurant for lunch.
Around 15.00h we will head for the beach side track towards Rambla Morales where we will spend time looking for more Waders and also Ducks, such as the White Headed and Marble Teal. At the end of the tour you will likely have Herons, Terns and maybe an Eagle or two on your birding list!
