Information about the meeting: We meet at the Restaurante Mic Moc, those arriving early will be able to purchase a coffee/breakfast before we depart to our vessel. Sea watch, a boat journey into the Strait of Gibraltar. Birds and more for the day!
IMPORTANT NOTE: The meeting is only provisional at the moment until we receive sufficient numbers to proceed and the cost will be 50 euro per person that includes lunch served onboard our vessel. Minimum number required for the price and for this meeting to go ahead is 30 persons. We will have exclusive use of this vessel. If high winds prevail the trip will be unable to go ahead.
Accommodation: We have several affiliated members that have hotel or Casa Rural accommodation in the area, see here under Cadiz Province
Clothing and food: It may be hot/fresh so bring suitable clothing. A lightweight jacket, hat and sunscreen are advised. Lunch is served on our vessel, but bring your own water/fluids
Possible birds: August is an excellent month for viewing migrating birds crossing the Strait as well as the passage of oceanic birds such as Storm Petrel, possibly Wilson’s Petrel, several Shearwater species and some Skuas. Not to mention of course Whales and Dolphins.

2. Members can invite guests, but they must join the Society on the day for insurance purposes.
