Meeting Point: IMPORTANT note for those attending next Saturday/Sunday’s field meeting. I received the following message from Antonio Pestana ‘Good morning Peter! Yesterday I was with a hotel worker and he told me that they have permanently closed the Hotel Mitra. Crisis helped by covid19. However, right next to it is the Fuente Las Piedras hotel, which is better and has a similar price, as well as a swimming pool’. See map above (Cabra).

“Saturday and Sunday we will take a tour of the areas and we will visit in the meeting on August 22/23 in the Sierras Subbéticas cordobesas (Cabra – Córdoba). We will enjoy seeing black wheatears up close and at sunset, the Eagle owl singing from one of its favorite branches. Just remember that we must all take extreme care front covid19, so we will avoid hugs and use masks when the distance is close. See you very soon”. Antonio Pestana
