The following Memberships are described in detail below.

1. Ordinary membership
This membership is for individuals who are aged 18 years and above and the Society requires a donation of €25.00 per annum and a completed Membership Form in exchange for this membership.  This membership entitles the holder to receive on joining a unique membership number and membership card as well as other benefits provided to all the Society memberships.  It also entitles the member to attend and vote at the Society’s two Annual Meetings.  Membership renewal is annual on the first day of the month following the month of joining.

2. Joint Ordinary membership
This membership is for two individuals who are both aged 18 years and above who live at the same postal address.  The Society requires €30.00 per annum and a completed Membership Form in exchange for this membership.  This membership entitles the holders to each receive on joining a unique membership number and membership card as well as other benefits provided to all the Society memberships.  It also entitles both holders of the membership to attend the Society’s two Annual Meetings but they can only cast one vote between them at each of these meetings.  Membership renewal is annual on the first day of the month following the month of joining.

3. Junior membership
This membership is for individuals between the age of 13 and 17 years at the time of joining.  The Society requires a donation of €10.00 per annum and a completed Membership Form in exchange for this membership.  This membership entitles the holder to receive on joining a unique membership number and membership card as well as other benefits provided to all the Society memberships.  It also entitles the member to attend and vote at the Society’s two Annual Meetings.  Membership renewal is annual on the first day of the month following the month of joining and depending upon the date of birth of the individual holding the membership; a new membership category may be necessary upon renewal.

4. Student membership
This membership is for individuals between the age of 18 and 20 years at the time of joining. The Society requires a donation of €15.00 per annum and a completed Membership Form in exchange for this membership.  This membership entitles the holder to receive on joining a unique membership number and membership card as well as other benefits provided to all the Society memberships.  It also entitles the member to attend and vote at the Society’s two Annual Meetings.  Membership renewal is annual on the first day of the month following the month of joining and depending upon the date of birth of the individual holding the membership; a new membership category may be necessary upon renewal.

5. Affiliated Membership
This membership is for a company that wishes to be promoted on the Society’s website.  This membership also requires a name of a representative of the company who are aged 21 years and above to be recorded as well as the name of the company.  The Society requires a donation of €40.00 per annum and a completed Membership Form in exchange for this membership.  It entitles the company to receive space on the Society’s website to advertise its services.  The Society also accepts an obligation to promote the company, when appropriate, during the Society’s day-to-day activities.  This membership also entitles the company to receive on joining a unique membership number and membership card as well as other benefits provided to all the Society memberships. It also entitles the named representative of the company to attend and vote at the Society’s two Annual Meetings.  Membership renewal is annual on the first day of the month following the month of joining.

6. Ordinary Life membership
This membership provides membership for life for an individual aged 50 years and above and the Society requires a one-off donation of €300.00 and a completed Membership Form in exchange for this membership.  This membership entitles the holder to receive on joining a unique membership number and membership card as well as other benefits provided to all the Society memberships.  It also entitles the member to attend and vote at the Society’s two Annual Meetings.  There is no renewal with this membership as the one off payment provides membership for life.

7. Ordinary Joint Life membership
This membership provides membership for life for two individuals aged 50 years and above who live at the same postal address.  The Society requires a one-off donation of €400.00 and a completed Membership Form in exchange for this membership.  This membership entitles the holders to each receive on joining a unique membership number and membership card as well as other benefits provide to all the Society memberships.  It also entitles both holders of the membership to attend the Society’s two Annual Meetings but they can only cast one vote between them at each of these meetings.  There is no renewal with this membership as the one off payment provides membership for life.
