El-Lago-ZaharaHotel Restaurant Al Lago is is a family run rural boutique hotel and restaurant, close to Ronda.
Overlooking an azure lake below the picturesque pueblo of Zahara de la Sierra. One of Spain's heritage "white villages" and part of the "rutas de pueblos blancos". Zahara sits in the dramatic landscape of the "Sierra de Grazalema" a protected nature reserve popular for hiking, birdwatching and paragliding.
In the well establised restaurant, we are now using locally sourced ingredients to re-create rustic Andalucian cuisine with a contemporary touch. All meals can be enjoyed out on our terrace, which stares over the wide reaching lake and off into mountains dotted with olive trees.
Interiors are strikingly simple with a focus on understated luxury; large comfortable beds, crisp linens, polished natural plaster walls and soothing earth tones. Each room has wrought iron French doors opening onto balconies with views over the lake.

espia3web1Huerta Grande Province Cadiz  “ ESTRECHO” Strait of Gibraltar
Huerta Grande`s self-catering cottages and  wooden log cabins are spread out within a  7 acres of woodland
Our 7 acres are nestled in a narrow gorge canuto that carries the sound of fresh water throughout the grounds. These canutos conserve a sub-tropical habitat unique in Europe: a dense foliage of rhododendron, laurel, ash, birch, oak, and even a rare species of carnivorous plants. Huerta Grande is a little way inland, roughly halfway between Gibraltar and Tarifa. During the bird migration months you will struggle to leave the Huerta Grande car park as raptors fly past. You can spot black kites, honey buzzards, Egyptian vultures, griffon vultures, and with a little bit of luck, the magnificent Ruppell´s Vulture. At night, sitting in the café terrace, you will be captivated by the Beater call as it crosses the Strait.
In Huerta Grande you will find peace and tranquillity. There is a coffee shop with free Wi-Fi and a lovely outdoor terrace, a swimming pool and we can offer meals and Pic-Nics for groups. We can organize transport, specialised Bird guides, Whale and Dolphin watching and short trips to Morocco for hiking or Birdwatching
