Si vives en España y te apasionan las aves, por favor, ¡ayúdanos a crear un mejor "fórum" ornitológico! Aquí en Andalucia Bird Society queremos y esperamos hacer de nuestro foro un recurso valioso, y tú puedes hacer una gran contribución: únete a nosotros y házte uno de nuestros primeros miembros castellano-parlantes.

Hasta la fecha, la casi totalidad de la gente adscrita a nuestra sociedad es no-nativa y, mientras apreciamos sus inestimables aportaciones, nos encantaría que la gente española amante de las aves formara también parte de nuestro grupo.

Queremos que personas que tienen el castellano como lengua materna escriban sus notícias y/o historias en "la lengua de Cervantes", y nos parecería maravilloso poder intercambiar opiniones, información, etc , con la gente del país. Somos muy conscientes también de que tú puedes tener notícias que no nos han llegado a nosotros y, además, de que podrías estar mejor informado que nosotros sobre ciertos temas de conservación. Así pues, por favor, ¡únete a nosotros y participa!

Laughing Gull Larus atricilla
 
Málaga On 8.2 an adult was seen at river Vélez mouth, Málaga (Carlos Gutiérrez)

Iceland Gull Larus glaucoides

Huelva. One adult was seen at Odiel marshes coast, Huelva on 6.2 (J.M.Méndez and 15 other observers).
Huelva. On 11.2 a 1w was at Isla del Moral fishing harbour,Ayamonte, Huelva (Xurxo Piñeiro). Málaga. A 1w was found at Caleta de Vélez, Málaga on 15.2 (Quirri, Antonio García, Gonzalo Lage).

Kumlien's Iceland Gull Larus glaucoides kumlieni

Huelva. On 3.2 an adult was found at Odiel marshes, Huelva, with the Iceland.

Glaucous Gull Larus hyperboreus

Cádiz. A 1w was found exhausted at Los Lances beach, Tarifa, Cádiz, on 6.2 (Javier Elorriaga). The bird died at the recovery center.
Cádiz. A 2w was seen also at Los Lances beach, Cádiz, on 7.2 (Juan Ramirez, Javier Elorriaga, Miguel González y Fernando).
Ceuta. A bird was seen on 1.1 flying over playa del Chorrillo, Ceuta, already within the Mediterranean sea (Joaquin Lopez/forogiam).
Huelva. One 1w was seen at Odiel marshes coast, Huelva on 7.2 (Paco Chiclana, Manolo Villaécija). See a thumbnail here and a photo in Iceland Gull number 25).Seen again on 14.2 (Paco Chiclana).
Huelva. One adult was seen at Odiel marshes Natural Park coast, Huelva on 5.2 (José Manuel Méndez, Jesús Chaves) with a 1w Iceland (number 8). See a thumbnail here.
Huelva. A different adult from (33) was seen and photographed at Odiel marshes Natural Park coast, Huelva on 6.2 with birds (32)(33) and 3 Iceland Gulls (José Manuel Méndez and 15 observers more). Either this or bird other was seen on 9.1 (J.M.Méndez). This bird or bird (33) were seen on 12.2 (Antonio Ternero, Antonio M. Perez, Gonzalo Lage, Patricia Maculay,Quirri). Again seen on 14.2 at Punta Umbria pier (Paco Chiclana)
Cádiz. On 9.2 a 1w was at Levante beach, La Línea de la Concepción, Cádiz close to the Gibraltar frontier (José Manuel Jiménez /GOES).
Ceuta. A 2w bird was seen on 11.1 on a rock at Playa de Benzú, Ceuta (Joaquin Lopez / forogiam).

Note: Only one other 'rarity' reported in our area for February, but this was Little Swift which maybe rare for Spain however a regular for those in the know for Andalucia.

Little Swift Apus affinis
Cádiz There were five at Guadalquivir river mouth, Cádiz, on 14.2 (Alfonso López)
Cádiz There were also 11 individuals at the same site on 18.2 (John Cantelo)

It would appear we are much more efficient at posting records as you can see! I hope you sent the email in Spanish, or at least signed it using a Spanish nom de plume?
