¡Muchas gracias!

Field Meeting – 20th March 2010? Date NOW CONFIRMED.
Malaga Province – Guadalhorce Nature Reserve
Leader: Bob Hibbitt

Our March field meeting on the Saturday 20th meet at 10am by parking at the beach head area. The reserve at Guadalhorce will be well known to many of you and its reputation to produce the odd rarity and plenty of spring migrants is now cast in stone. Leader for the day Bob Hibbitt knows the area extremely well and will be able to show us around the general area as well as the ‘hidden’ corners of the reserve. Quite apart from the reserve the beach area can also be good, not least for viewing seabirds at close quarters. After spending the morning around the reserve we will take a lunch nearby and then Bob has offered to take members to an area close-by where ‘Splendid Starling’ is breeding! For those who have never seen this species, the name is very apt. We look forward to seeing you all on the day.

Looking increasingly likely I will attend with '5' others, don't know if this might put-off anyone else from going!!!!!!!

A very big thank you to Bob Hibbitt for organising the day. Also thanks to you Bob and Andy Paterson for being such good 'guides' and showing us all around the reserve. Lastly thank you all who attended for making my day so enjoyable.

Hi Peeps
Same as peter, thanks Bob for a great day I will have to leave an hour early if I am picking up from the airport so I can get to see the starlings.  Quickie for Elli we had a small flock of common scoters from the beach before we left for the car.
