¡Muchas gracias!

Hi Peter

On reconsideration (you only live once!), I'll go as well...so now you have 8! Please let me know if there is a chance of a lift to and from Tarifa from Granada, Malaga, Antequera....wherever.

Best

Well from small acorns and all that... we have 14 coming on the tour to Morocco! We will be sending emails to you all as we need personal details to make the bookings for the hotel, ferry etc. Thank you to everyone for such a fabulous response and for making this exciting excursion possible.

The costs are now fixed at 450 euros for couples or those sharing a room and 485 euros for singles. We will need payment asap and details will be given along with the email request for personal details.

Amazing response. Wish I was there and was able to come along. Love it around the northern marshes of Morocco. How you all going to fit in the boat at Merja Zerga?

Hope everyone has a good time and feeling peeved I am not coming!!!

Hi everybody,
anybody know how to get to Tarifa without driving your own car?  From San Pedro, where I am staying, there are buses to Algeciras but not to Tarifa. Is anyone passing by and we can share costs?   /   Arne

Hi Arne

Just in case nobody can offer you a lift, there's a frequent bus service between Algeciras and Tarifa.  Details:

Hi Peeps
I am coming from Olvera and want to know if there is anyone coming from the Ronda area so I could pick up on my way or leave my car and share an other car and share the petrol.  I will be leaving on the morning of the trip at 7am from Olvera.

Hi Frank,
I have arrived at a decision to go down to Tarifa the night before and leave my car in the hotel car park. Try as I might, I couldn't get any worthwhile information on where I can leave the car! The car park at the ferry terminal is not a possibility.

I just had the following message from our member Penny Hale:

For what it is worth, our 4 Australians didn't have any problems parking in the street near the ferry at Tarifa.  They managed to park within 100 metres of the gates.  This they were advised was safe to do by the booking clerk when we went down to do a recce at the start of their stay with us.  I told them about the hotel but as they only had 6 nights with us they weren't keen to do that.  The hotel incidentally said they needed forewarning of anyone planning to park a car.  Knowing you I expect you have never done that!!  Anyway Graham said there were several parking places near the terminal.

A very big thank you to all for making our first 'overseas' ABS tour such a success.

I particularly enjoyed all of the company of members attending and hope those participating had a memorable tour to Morocco. For me the company, the 100 species of birds and enthusiasm made it a great experience and one I hope the society will look to repeat.

Thank you Arni, Andy, Armanda, David, Elli, Frank, Geoff, Hilary, Janet, John, Liz, Mick, Steve and Stephen for making the group so friendly and fun to be with.

Peter :)
